WHO WE ARE

Friends of Camp Colton cultivates exceptional outdoor learning experiences that instill the value of preserving our natural world and inspire growth and discovery.

Friends of Camp Colton is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 2001 to support the educational mission and financial sustainability of Camp Colton—Flagstaff Unified School District’s outdoor environmental education center.

WHAT WE DO

More than 47,000 kids have gone to Camp Colton. Through this community tradition, kids discover themselves and their world.

For the last 52 years, Camp Colton has introduced thousands of kids to the local environment of Northern Arizona. Friends of Camp Colton has enhanced the success and sustainability of Camp Colton by focusing on the student experience. We develop exceptional environmental education programs based on current research and scientific knowledge. We help make the Camp Colton experience possible for more than 1,000 students each year. Through master planning and endowment building, we continue this important legacy.
