Our Goals
Camp Colton-Project LIFE program and academic goals:

~  

 To increase student understanding and awareness of the environment and conservation.

~  

 To provide students with knowledge and experience that will enhance their appreciation for the unique ecosystem of the San Francisco Peaks.

~  

 To provide a hands-on approach to science education in the life, earth & physical sciences, in line with the Arizona Academic Standards for Science Education.

~  

 To provide students an opportunity to relate arts and cultural projects into a science-based education program.

~  

 To provide an opportunity for all sixth grade students to live in a camp setting, increase their social skills, accept personal responsibility, and strengthen their sense of self-esteem.
