"When I attended Camp Colton(many years ago), Christiansen was my elementary school. Mr. Aguirre was my teacher and he was great! I especially enjoyed the lava caves and the campfire stories. We also had a square dance on the last night and that was a whole lot of fun! My sister also attended Camp Colton - about six years before me - and she also enjoyed it! I really enjoyed my experience!!!!!!","Camp Colton is a great opportunity for all students! Too bad other districts don't have this!"
Brian, Flagstaff, 1983 Camper:
"I have very fond memories of my experience at Camp Colton and I hope my children have an opportunity to experience it during the next few years. I remember the survival courses, the friendship building, story telling around the fire, and a sort of rite of passage of being away from home with other kids for a week on the mountain I consider sacred to me and my family. You are doing a wonderful thing. Please don't stop!"
Melissa, WI, 1985 Camper:
"I remember how cold it was. I remember how fun it was to go on exploring hikes and sitting around the campfire. I remember doing crafts in the lodge, and the food wasn't bad either. I remember that I had the time of my life!"
Laurie, Flagstaff, 1988 Camper:
"I remember the friendly atmosphere. Everyone was learning and enjoying life. The singing around the campfire every night was my happiest memory. I really bonded with my friends and the camp counselors and was sad to see it end. I'd love to go back again (even as an adult).","",

Jennifer, Flagstaff, 1993 Camper:
"I loved Camp colton...I remember that our week to go was so cold up there. The cover to the bunks blew off the in the middle of the night. And we ended up getting a freak storm rolling in and they cut our experience short by a couple of days.
It was fun, adventerous and something I'll never forget. I'm not sure if I attended in 93 or 94..."
